SNTI Library:This library is the largest library of Jamshedpur. It belongs to Shavak Nanavati Technical Institute. The books in this library are arranged scientifically according to subjects and well marked for the convenience of the reader. Books on almost every subject are available here. From Music, English, Computer to technical and engineering subjects, this library is a must visit for those who love to read. One can issue books by becoming a member of the library. Membership fee is Rs 3,000 and in order to become a member, one has to be introduced by an employee of Tata Steel.

This is a small library which is centrally located near Bistupur market. People throng this library to read Urdu, English and Hindi books and newspapers. National and local newspapers are kept on the tables and one gets a peaceful place to read without any disturbance. There are 10,000 books in this library pertaining to Islam and Urdu Literature.Membership forms are available at the library's Office. Another unique feature of this library is the J.R.D.Tata reading corner. All books on related to steel factory and J.R.D. Tata, Ratan Tata are available here.

It is situated in Jugsalai and was founded in 1944.There are around 12,000 books in this library. There are about 3,000 members and membership can be availed at a nominal sum of Rs 101 only.

Youth Unity for Voluntary Action Library:
The Youth Unity for Voluntary action (YUVA) library was founded in 1996 and houses around 5,000 books on various subjects.There is a big hall with lots of space to accommodate members who come to read books here. Membership fees is Rs 25.
A number of books are kept in this library for the members. The membership form can be collected from the library office.

Dinshaw Memorial Municipal Library:
It was founded in 1941 and is the oldest library in Jamshedpur. Earlier, this library used to be thronged regularly by intellectuals. Times changed and with advent of modern clubs and computers, people found entertainment elsewhere. The library has around 10,000 books and one can become a member by paying a nominal amount. There are plans to convert this library into a IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) learning center.
